A stay of 6 days and 5 nights to accompany the visit of Pope Francisco to Fatima in May 2017 is the proposal of Lux Invicta Turismo, a tour operator based in Alcobaça.
The circuit May 2017 - The Miracle of Fatima 100 Years Later - Visit of Pope Francisco begins in Lisbon on May 10, the day we visit Lisbon, then continuing from the magnificent bay of São Martinho do Porto, at 45 minutes from Fatima.
The tour package includes a stay in Lisbon, and the rest at the Hotel Concha, in São Martinho do Porto, which will open to the public at the end of the first trimester of next year, after extensive renovation works. On May 11, a tour of the western region (Óbidos, Caldas da Rainha and Nazaré) is suggested, while the 12th and 13th days will be dedicated entirely to the Pope's visit to Fatima. On the 14th the proposal is to know two of the most important national monuments, the Monastery of Alcobaça and Batalha.
The company manager, Lux Invicta Turismo, underlines the importance of this tourist package which was designed to respond to the Shortage of hotel offerings which, in the context of the Pope's visit to Fatima, is rapidly depleting the number of rooms available in the region. The Hotel Concha is owned by one of the members of Lux Invicta Turismo, which allows the company special priority in the reservation of rooms made available by the reopening of the hotel.
