Begin in Rio Maior Salt pan, unique of its kind in Portugal and still in operation since 1177. In this village you can admire the pyramids of salt and a group of typical wooden houses, which transform the salt pan area in a living museum. Here you can buy a lot of typical craft: cheese, honey, olive oil, salt with different aromas: thyme salt, oregano salt. Then we will move on to visit a wine cellar Porta de Teira, in Alto da Serra. Here you’ll discover the local flavours with the magnificent view over the valley and the Salt pan.
