Discover the capital of Portugal, the brightest city in Europe. Many expeditions in the Age of Discoveries broke away from Lisbon, like Vasco da Gama towards India.
Lisbon with its seven hills welcomes you with open arms. Spend a day in Lisbon and wander by the downtown, Chiado, Alfama and Bairro Alto. In Alfama visit Lisbon’s Cathedral and the São Jorge’s Castle conquered from the Moors, in 1147, by the first King of Portugal, D. Afonso Henriques. From here you’ll have the most superb and wonderful view across the city with the river Tagus in the background.
Visit the Jerónimos Monastery and the Belem Tower, both UNESCO Heritage, and walk in the Nations Park, eastern Lisbon, where Expo ‘98 took place.

Highlights:
Jerónimos' Monastery – World Heritage – it houses the tombs of the two most important people of the Portuguese History: Camões and Vasco da Gama.
Belém Tower – World Heritage – the sentinel that saw the ships setting sail in search of new worlds.
Saint George’s Castle – the best Lisbon spot, it was the official residence of the Portuguese kings.
Pastéis de Belém - delight yourself with the best pastries in the world.
Pombaline Downtown – Rebuilt after the Lisbon earthquake, in 1755.
