Terceira offers a perfect combination between nature and Azorean culture, from the patchwork of pastures and stone walls, to the city of Angra do Heroísmo - a UNESCO World Heritage Site and entitled "Very Noble, Loyal and Always Constant" - and to fascinating geological sites such as Algar do Carvão. An island of customs and traditions, Terceira is proud of its festivities, such as the Festas do Espírito Santo and the Sanjoaninas festivals, which enchant visitors every year. Its locally produced gastronomy also attracts curious people, from seafood, cheeses, to sweets, as well as the good wines that the island offers to accompany it.

DAY 2 - Explore the South / East of the Island |
|
Departure from Angra do Heroismo on the south coast, east and inland of the island, with main highlight; Peninsula of Monte Brazil with its fortress of San Juan Bautista built in 1567, that between 1580 to 1642 was point of Spanish resistance in the island.
Following the trip we arrive at the Mirador of Serretinha where you can look at the majestic Islet of the Goats, passing by the Bay of Salga we arrive at the Villa de São Sebastião, an old Villa where from 1450 the Flemish Jacome Brujes founded his grantee.
Visit to the church and empire of the Divine Holy Spirit (festivals that were transferred to the island by the Franciscan monks), Praia da Vitória the new city, one of the first places to be colonized since 1456, walk in the center. Lunch.
Visit to the Algar do Carvão a volcanic wonder, a crater with a dome where the sounds mix with the smell of the rock. Following we will visit the place of the Furnas de Azufre characteristic of the volcanic activity of the islands, visit to the Grotto of Christmas. Return to Angra do Heroismo.

DAY 3 - São Mateus and Biscoitos |
Do not forget to visit the fishing port of San Mateo. Whale hunting was very important for the economy of the Azores, that is why we visit the Boat Museum, the Bay of the Negro, and not forget that the Ceramics also part of the culture of a town. Following of meadows and landscapes of the fields that previously formed part of the barns of Portugal and we arrived at Lagoa das Patas. Go to Ponta dos Mistérios, Mata da Serreta, Biscoitos two pools and finally the Wine Museum, one of the important products of Portugal and the island of Terceira.

DAY 4 - Walking Tour - Angra do Heroísmo |

Visit Angra do Heroísmo by foot. This is the best way to get to know the city. The people of Angra played a very important sociopolitical role throughout the history of Portugal.
Angra was the capital of Portugal between 1580 and 1640 and in 1832-1833. Visit the center of the city, highlighting the Old Square where we will meet the City Hall, the Duke Garden of the third and Angra do Heroismo Museum.
The Cathedral, a magnificent work of architecture and wealth in sacred art and finally the historic Palace of the Captains General, residence of the Regional Government when it moves to the island of Terceira.
